Since nobody really talks about it you could assume that you just put the baby to your boob, they eat, and you're done. You do your best to set up a routine and set your alarm and prepare for your schedule. However, there's a major wild card which is that baby! She get's hungry when she shouldn't be (all the time), as soon as you think she is sleepy she goes crazy, and then you get these really awesome moments that make it really worth it.
Today mom and baby went back to the Lytle Center for a lactation consultation and we learned that we are doing great and the struggle is normal and progress is good. Plus, Sophie is putting on a fair amount of weight, so that is really good news.
